Science World

We went to Science World today! It was so much fun.... we were there for HOURS, we only left because it was closing time. We definitely want to go back again.
We dug for dinosaur footprints...

Saw some dinosaur skeletons...

and then saw some REAL LIVE DINOSAURS!!!!

Just kidding, they weren't real, but they sure seemed real! They could move, and they made the loudest noises ever!

We could even control some of their movements with some buttons. That was really fun.

After the dinosaur exhibit, we went and saw a ton more stuff.... like animals that are still around today... The beavers were really cool.

There were so many different things to explore!

Crazy, wacky, pendulums...

Super-fun drums. (we REALLY liked these)

The discoveries were endless!

We had so much fun together.

We had an early Christmas get together with my Gigi and Tata yesterday. We had a lot of fun together.... and my Gigi and Tata gave me a REAL tea set!!!

Mommy and I had an apple juice tea party today when Little Miss Smashy (Kenzie) was having a nap.

I LOVE my new tea set.... and I feel so big.

Mommy came to check on me and found me doing this with the foaming hand soap.

Look what I found when I was out for a walk with MeeMaw!

It's a ladybug! I carried it on a seed pod all the way back to MeeMaw's house myself.

She put it in a jar for me so that I could take a really good look at it with her magnifying glass.

When Kaylen got back from Christmas shopping with Mommy I showed her my great find.

She really liked it, I think.

After we both had a really good look we let the ladybug go back home so she could find some ladybug food.

We got to go on a surprise camping trip on Thanksgiving weekend! Mommy and Daddy told us where we were going just before we left. (I think it was a last-minute decision for them too) We didn't have to travel very far this time, only about 30 minutes, to get to an awesome campground in Golden Ears Provincial Park. We had such an awesome time! We didn't get very many pictures on this trip, but I think it's because we were too busy having fun.

We went to MeMaw and MePa's house to to celebrate Mommy's birthday.

She must be REALLLY old. There was a LOT of candles! So many that it took three people working at the same time to get them all lit!

We're getting a puppy! He's too little to come home right now, but he seems pretty big (and heavy) when you're only four.

His name is going to be Monty, and we're VERY excited about adding him to our family. He should be coming home in two weeks.
We've already been to the pet store to get "puppy stuff" and I picked out a nice orange ball for his coming home present. I think he's going to be a great buddy for Kenzie and me.

Easter Weekend Pictures (Finally!)

We went camping on Easter weekend in Port Townsend, Washington..... and Mommy is finally posting some pictures from our trip.

We stayed at the coolest campground in Fort Worden State Park...

it was right on the beach!

So, of course, we had to grab out bucket and our shovels...

and go play in the sand!

It was too cold to bury daddy properly in the sand, but we did bury his feet!

We also spent a lot of time wandering around the neat little town, and found a cool playground to explore.

I even started learning how to ride my new bike!

And the best part? The Easter Bunny found our camper! We were a little worried that the bunny would miss us because we weren't at home, but he found us!

And we found all the eggs he hid.

We had so much fun and can hardly wait for our next adventure!

Weekend in Victoria

We went to Victoria this weekend! We had so much fun.
This was our first time going to a museum.... and we got to go to the best museum ever! (Royal Canadian Museum). Mom and Dad had been here before when they were kids, but this was our first time. It was really cool.
We got to see John Lennon's Yellow Submarine car. (I wish Mom's car was this pretty)

There was a lot of stairs, but don't worry, Kenzie didn't get left out... Daddy figured out a way for her to see everything.
Wheeeee!!!

My favourite part was the microscopes. They had them all over the place, and I had to stop and look at each one. It was super neat.

They even had a forest inside the museum.

After the museum (and a lunch break) we went and saw Miniature World. It was really cool, with lots and lots of buttons for me and Kenzie to push.

I was SUPER happy on this trip. See how big my smile is?

I can hardly wait for our next adventure.

Tofino

We went camping in Tofino a couple weeks ago.... and we had a great time!

Kaylen was great at blowing bubbles!

Kenzie found it a little more difficult.

There were also sand castles to be made....

and sand-covered cookies to be eaten....

Yum!

When it started to rain, we were warm and comfy in the camper.

Kaylen was great at climbing up and down the ladder into her very own bunk!

Kenzie got her own bunk too, just a bit lower.

We had plenty of things to keep everybody happy.... colouring books...

and don't forget the campfire! The highlight of any successful camping trip!

Kenzie's First Haircut

Yes, you read that correctly. Mom gave me a haircut today. Gasp! I know!
She had a good reason though... and here it is:
During the past week, I seem to have developed a new "hobby" of pulling out my hair at night and putting it in my mouth. I thought Mom was doing a great job of cleaning up all the hairballs each morning, and styling my hair so the bald patches wouldn't show too much. I thought we had a pretty good system going, until today during my nap....
I choked on a hairball. Yeah, it was kinda embarassing for me, and I think it totally freaked Mom out. Reaching down a gagging todddler's throat to pull out a giant wad of hair probably isn't too fun. So, that's how I ended up getting a haircut today.

I think it turnd out okay, all things considered.

My bald spots don't show nearly as much now, and my hair is too short to wrap around my fingers, which makes pulling it out a lot more difficult....
Sigh.... whatever.

Winter Walk

A walk in the cold with Grandma and Grandpa starts with bundling up.

But after that ordeal we were finally on our way.

Good thing Grandpa was pulling us in our wagon because we had so much stuff on we could hardly move!

We rumbled through the park (where we stopped to play on the playground) . . . . .

. . . . . then we rolled through the school yard (where we stopped to play on a different playground)...

. . . . . and finally back home where we all showed off our healthy, rosy glow, and a bad case of "hat head".

Chilliwack Fair

I had a great time at the fair today! I got to see so many nice things that people made. Mommy and Grandma won some ribbons for the things they entered this year.... and I won a ribbon for my colouring page!
I really liked looking at all the animals. I saw piglets, some baby chicks and ducks, and I even got to pet a bunny!
My favourite part of the fair was the rides. I went on two rides all by myself! I had so much fun. I can't wait to go again next year!!!

Don't Worry, I'm Fine

Mommy took me to the hospital this morning. But don't worry, I'm fine. I've been sick since last Friday, and I'm having a hard time getting better. I was coughing really bad this morning and I sounded wheezy, so Daddy took care of Kenzie, and Mommy took me to to a Walk-In Clinic. Well, the clinic was closed for the weekend (it's supposed to be open according to their phone message!) so we drove to another clinic. That one was closed too. Sooooo, off to the hospital we went!
Luckily, on a Sunday morning, it wasn't very busy and we got in right away. We had to wait for quite a while on a really high bed. I was only a little bit nervous.

Luckily, Mommy came prepared with a purse full of Robert Munsch mini-books! After we read ALL of those, we started playing the "eye spy" game. It was really fun, but when I started "spying" things like people with no pants on (Mommy said they were wearing "hospital gowns") Mommy said we should play something else.
The doctor was really nice, and he listened to my breathing, and took my temperature and stuff. It was actually kinda fun. And, the good news is, I'm okay! He told Mommy that I'm probably over the worst of it now, and that I should have a humidifier in my room tonight. (we went and bought one after we stopped home to check in with Daddy and tell him I'm okay).

I hope I'm better soon because I want to go back to PreSchool! (so I can catch another sickness!!!)

Kaylen has been feeling rough all weekend and hasn't been able to play with me....
Poor Kaylen, I wish I could help her feel better.

But I've been feeling great! And, with Kaylen feeling too sick to help me with everything, I've had to do things by myself....

I finally managed to get up into a sitting position all by myself....

And I've been trying to figure out this crawling thing. I can get up onto my knees no problem, and I'm starting to go around in circles, and sometimes backwards. I just need to learn how to go forwards!
